There are no immediate plans to build a police station in Mmankgodi/ Tloaneng area, says Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Mr Shaw Kgathi. Responding to a question in Parliament, Mr Kgathi said Mmankgodi/Tloaneng villages were supported by Thamaga Police Station adding that the Botswana Police Service had taken decision to relieve some police stations by constructing police posts to offer policing services. He said 25 police posts to offer policing services are under construction for the 2016/17 financial year and Mmankgodi/Tloaneng police post is earmarked for construction in the 2017/18 financial year depending on the approval of NDP 11. Gabane/Mmankgodi MP, Maj. General Pius Mokgware had asked the minister if he will consider building a Police Station in Mmankgodi/Tloaneng to support the two villages.ENDS
