221 win ESP project tenders

The Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele says 221 companies, majority being citizen owned have been awarded the Economic Stimulus Programme ( ESP) projects tenders as of July 2016. Responding to a question in Parliament on Monday he said the companies are benefiting from such awards and emphasised that the continuing awarding of tenders for the remaining ESP projects will further benefit the citizen owned companies and subsequently stimulate the economy. Member of Parliament for Gaborone Central Dr Phenyo Butale had asked the minister how many companies have benefited and actually been allocated tenders under the Economic Stimulus Programme since its announcement.
