The Minister of Lands and Housing Mr Prince Maele has told parliament that a decision has been taken to expand Ramotswa planning area to include Otse and Mogobane villages. He said consultations are currently ongoing within the South East district and the process of declaration of planning area is expected to be completed by March 2017. The minister noted that the consultation process referred to above will ultimately lead to the preparation of a development plan covering the villages within the planning area.He said to this end, a suitable name for the planning area and the extent of coverage will be determined by the affected community during planning process. Member of Parliament for Ramotswa Mr Samuel Rantuana asked when will Otse and Mogobane villages be declared planning area and whether it is not to time to review the Ramotswa Development Plan to accommodate all the villages in the area.
