Francistown coordinator serves North East
07 Aug 2016
Parliament has been informed that the agricultural regional coordinator based in Francistown served both Francistown and the entire North East District. Answering a question in Parliament on Thursday from the MP for Tati West Mr Biggie Butale, the assistant minister of agriculture Mr Kgotla Autlwetse said there were no immediate plans to relocate the regional coordinator from Francistown to Masunga. He, however, said his ministry had decentralised services from Francistown and these were provided at offices in Masunga for farmers in the North East District. The services included crop production, veterinary, animal production and agricultural statistics and planning. MP Butale had asked the assistant minister when the agricultural regional coordinator would relocate from Francistown to the district in order to bring services closer to the people. ENDS
