Boarding masters matrons progression clear

02 Aug 2016

Parliament has been informed that boarding masters and matrons progress from C4 salary scale to C3 salary scale.

Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Moiseraele Goya, said this when responding to a question in Parliament on Monday.

Minister Goya said the job grading for boarding masters and matrons was conducted by the Department of Public Service Management in 2010.

He explained that the job of boarding personnel failed to meet the requirements to develop a scheme of service, adding that the skills required to perform distinct job specifications at different levels in terms of increasing job complexities could not be established.

Furthermore, he said in such circumstances a scheme of service could not be developed.

MP for Ramotswa, Mr Samuel Rantuana had asked the minister to state what he was doing to help the matrons and boarding masters to have a clear cut scheme and progression ladder.ENDS
