No PPADB offices for Ghanzi
24 Jul 2016
Minister of Finance and Development Planning (MOFDP), Mr Kenneth Matambo, says thr Public Procurement Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) and his ministry are committed to improving customer service by bringing services closer to the people through the establishment of satellite offices.
“This is evidenced by establishment of the Francistown office in December 2015. The proposal by PPADB to set up satellite offices in Ghanzi and other district during NDP 11 was not favourably considered due to funding constraints,” he said.
He explained that in the meantime, the use of online services through the intergrated procurement management system would address the gap by ensuring accessibility of PPADB to use the facility.
Mr Matambo was responding to a question which from Ghanzi South MP, Mr Christiaan De Graaff who wanted to know if there were any plans to set up offices or satellite offices for the PPADB in the Ghanzi District in the view of the long distance that clients from that area endured to Maun and Gaborone offices.
