No plans for clinic construction

Assistant Minister of Health, Dr Alfred Madigele, says his ministry has no plans to construct a clinic in Gaborone’s Maruapula area as there is no provision in NDP 10 for construction of such clinic.
Dr Madigele said thatthe district had a plan to build a 24-hour clinic at Notwane near Maruapula in 2009/10 under the UDP3 at a cost of 15 million pula. However, he said the project was deferred at district level and was not included in NDP 10.
Member of Parliament for Gaborone Central Mr Phenyo Butale had asked if the mister would consider constructing a clinic in Maruapula to relieve the congestion at Princess Marina Hospital since such a clinic was approved under development plan in 2003. ENDS
