The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Mr Frans Van Der Westhuizen, says his ministry will continue to rationalise posts and prioritise the creation of the needed posts for headman of record and chiefs representatives utilising other vacancies in the ministry.
Responding to a question in Parliament on July 14, he said Dikgotla in Takatokwane, Dutlwe, Maboane, Salajwe and Motokwe will be considered amongst those that are critical.
He said he is aware that Dikgotla in Takatokwane, Dutlwe and Maboane have no headmen of record and that Salajwe and Motokwe villages have no chief representatives.
The MP for Takatokwane Mr Ngaka Ngaka had asked the minister if he is aware that dikgotla in Takatokwane, Dutlwe and Maboane have no headmen of record.
He also asked the minister if he is aware that Salajwe and Motokwe villages have no chief representatives and when the posts will be created. ENDS
