Twenty one institutions participate in Target 20 000

There are 21 institutions participating in the Target 20 000 programme and they are accredited by the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA), the Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Fidelis Molao has said.
Answering a question in Parliament, Mr Molao said the programmes offered at these institutions should fall within the priority areas defined by Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) and programmes accredited by BQA.
Furthermore, Mr Molao said Batswana owned tertiary institutions enlisted in the programme are Boitekanelo College, Ba Isago University, Lecarena Investments, ANB University College, Security Systems and Mega Size College.
MP for Gaborone Central, Dr Phenyo Butale had asked the minister aboutthe criteria used to select tertiary institutions for participation in the Target 20 000 initiative and also state the names of tertiary institutions and the names of Batswana owned institutions enlisted in the programme. He also wanted to know whether all the above institutions are accredited by the BQA. ENDS
