No plans for hospital
10 Jul 2016
The Ministry of Health has never had plans to construct a primary hospital for the river villages in the Mochudi East constituency.
Assistant Minister of Health, Dr Alfred Madigele, however, said there were plans to upgrade the Mmathubudukwane Clinic to a polyclinic on the existing site during the 2018/19 financial year.
Dr Madigele further said the Mmathubudukwane polyclinic would provide general out patient, maternity and observation services, and that additional services to be provided would include a laboratory, x-ray, minor theatre and dental services. Mochudi East Member of Parliament, Mr Isaac Davids had wanted the minister to give an update on the construction of the long planned primary hospital to cater for the river villages in the Mochudi East Constituency given that the plot had already been allocated.
