Entrepreneurship way to go

The school head of Setlalekgosi Junior Secondary School (SJSS) Mr Majaha Ndlovu has encouraged students to become entrepreneurs of the future by gaining more skills and reduce unemployment.
Speaking at the sub-regional Best Business Exposure Junior Achievement Botswana (JAB) fair in Francistown on June 26, Mr Ndlovu said JAB enabled youth to realise their dreams of becoming future businessmen and women.
He said the occasion focuses on best business exposure that moulds winners to participate at the next level, adding everybody who participated is a winner and it was just the degree of winning, which was different. Mr Ndlovu said JAB empowered young Batswana to succeed in the world of work through a dynamic economic business.
He said they were always supportive of JAB occasions at Setlalekgosi JSS, acknowledging the importance of it in developing the students to lead them into economic diversification innovation, to cut down on unemployment.
For her part, JAB chairperson for North East region Ms Gadibolelwe Bakgethisi said the event was where achievers came together to showcase what they had learnt from JAB company programme through presentation of business plans and company reports, stalls exhibitions, innovation and oral presentations.She said all companies did well in imparting skills of entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial readiness education programme.
Ms Bakgethisi applauded business achievers and business advisors on the issue of giving back to the community, noting last year, they donated to Prisons but this year they have identified a person in need in their community, Ms Thoko Sipikili who lives with three children in Riverside location and they have donated a food basket.
