Taylor leaves BTCL

Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTCL) managing director, Mr Paul Taylor will leave the company next month.
A press release from BTCL states that Mr Taylor’s contract ends on July 19.
The release says during his tenure, Mr Taylor led the separation and transfer of assets exercise that culminated in the creation of BoFiNet in 2013 and guided the subsequent listing of BTCL on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) this year.
It also stats that his contributions include revenue growth of nearly 50 per cent, integration of three separate businesses beMOBILE, BTCL home and office and BotsNet into one converged organisation.
Further, it says Mr Taylor ensured that the business delivered on its strategy.
Thus, the release says the board of directors appreciates his steadfast leadership in steering BTCL in the important phase of transformation as well as his commitment over the last five years.
Meanwhile, BTCL chief operating officer, Mr Anthony Masunga is acting as the company’s managing director until further notice. Ends
