Muscle man seeks world title

MOLEPOLOLE - Botswana’s muscle man, Gontse Sechele, is in the United States for the Mr Universe World Fitness Federation (WFF) title.
Sechele qualified for the title last year when he came third at the World Championships in South Africa.
Having participated in three world events, Sechele was confident that he could come face to face with the best and come out victorious.
The first time he was on international stage was for the Mr Africa title in Zimbabwe in 2012 where he came fourth.
Then in 2014 in Korea he participated in Mr Universe WFF where he was awarded third place.
Same year he flew to Australia where he made it to the Top 10 in the National Amateur Body Building Association Universe title.
Then last year he went for the World Championships in South Africa.
Since coming from South Africa he has gained three kilograms putting him at 95kg and this meant he would be participating in the heaviest category.
Sechele remained confident that he will do well in the US.
He engaged the services of a South African based professional body builder, John Leslie to help with his training.
Gontse Sechele’s manager and close friend Kaedi Khama pointed out that the journey to USA could not have been possible if not for the funding Sechele got from Ministry of Environment Wildlife and Tourism together with Botswana Tourism Organization who paid and arranged his expenses while overseas and flight tickets to and from Orlando, USA.
