Botswana Railways (BR) has arranged convenient transport to ferry supporters going to watch the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Botswana and Uganda in Francistown on June 4.
BR corporate communications officer Kebabonye Morewagae said they were approached by Botswana Football Association (BFA) to transport supporters to Francistown Sports Complex.
Morewagae said the supporters train would leave Gaborone on June 4, at 7am, the Mahalapye station at 9:30am, Serule at 11:52am, and arrive in Francistown at 12pm in the afternoon.
He said the BR Express will depart Francistown for Gaborone at 9pm.
Normal tickets from Gaborone to Francistown will cost P88 while for business class ones will cost P146.
“We are all about greater mobility of people in a convenient way hence we agreed and saw it important to reschedule our BR express routine in efforts to help the national team and the country,” Morewagae said, explaining that there will be space for 624 people on the train. Ends
