Itsholeng Disang is the new National women football committee chairperson after beating Segomotso Koama in a Botswana women football Annual General Assembly at Lekidi on May 29.

Some of the objectives of women football include amongst others constantly improving the quality, organisation and the expansion of BFA’s women football competitions and to create conditions for more women to occupy technical and managerial positions in football including the domains of refereeing, coaching, medical and administration.
Disang told BOPA immediately after the elections that her mission was to see women football in Botswana growing at club levels and having strong competitive structures at national and regional level.
“I’m going to do all I can to make sure that women football has a very sound relationship with all our stakeholders, that is the BFA NEC,regional associations, referees, media together with the corporate community,” she said
She noted that together with her committee, they would do their best to develop a girl child and make sure that women football was a sellable product to create an ideal environment for players, officials, and coaches.
Disang said he had confidence that they would build unity, cooperation, discipline and consistency within their structures so as to help them achieve their goals and objectives.
