Modipane in fight for top flight football

26 May 2016

Modipane United have been given a second chance to retain their slot in the southern first division league after they were relegated to second division.

But because two teams were promoted to the BeMOBILE premiership, a life line arose where three teams will battle it out for the slot which will see them retain their position.

It seems Modipane United are the favourates among the trio. Others are Black Peril and Elpots Sporting club and will be meeting this weekend in Jwaneng.

Modipane United have had a tough season despite potential youngsters they have, they have lost several games which saw them seat at position 12, a relegation zone area.

They would have joined their countrymen Mochudi Buffaloes who were relegated last season and it seems things are tougher than they expected.

Speaking in an interview, Modipane United Coach Patrick Maseke was adamant that they will keep their slot in the first league.

He said even though the boys were released, they were called back for training in preparations for the weekend games.

Coach Maseke said his players responded well at training and he has counselled them to prepare them psychologically for the game.

He said the two games they are going to play are very critical for their survival . ENDS
