Flamboyant Entertainment donates

25 May 2016

Sixteen students of Khurumela Primary School in Palapye received new uniform from Flamboyant Entertainment recently.

Speaking during the donation ceremony in Palapye, Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Moiseraele Goya, commended Flamboyant Entertainment for showing compassion by helping the less privileged members of the community.

He said Flamboyant Entertainment heeded the government’s call for private sectors to help government uplift the socio-economic status of the less privileged members of society.

The donation is derived from proceeds from “ Clap Your Hands” music festival.

Mr Goya who is also MP for Palapye said partnerships such as this are welcome especially “as we are on the eve of our national golden jubilee that has a pillar of compassion and caring enshrined in it.''

He said donation of uniform has come at the right time when winter has just started hence the students who will benefit will have no problem facing the winter season and students’ academic performance will not be affected adversely.

Mr Goya also added that the social engagement by local entities and similar donations give hope to the less privileged as well as augment government effort on restoring dignity to all.

The donors seized the moment to articulate their social investment aspirations.

A representative of Flamboyant Entertainment Mr Tshenolo Bonang said that as a youthful entity, theirs is not a sole quest for material gains but to plough back into the community they operate within.

“When we formed Flamboyant Entertainment a few years ago, our vision was to create a truly patriotic, empowered company that could empower others in a way that set new standards for business and life transformation in our country,” Bonang noted.

He said theirs is a new generation entertainment entity that aspires to empower young Batswana especially those in the arts department.

“Government is doing its best to thwart poverty and free those from its shackles and it is only prudent that we chip in to help where they fall short and help build the country we all envision.

As much as we pursue growth and return on investment, we do invest in our surrounding community above all hoping to derive benefits in improved human capital,” Bonang added.ENDS
