Botswana Football Association (BFA) secretary general, Kitso Kemoeng has revealed the Zebras will play a friendly game against the Flames of Malawi on Sunday.
Speaking in a press conference at Adansonia hotel on Monday, Kemoeng said the friendly match will be played at the Francistown sports complex and kick-off time was 3pm and it was moved from May 28 to 29 because there was another pre-planned activity at the stadium.
Kemoeng revealed that the national team arrived in Francistown on May 21, for a camp, after playing Dikwena of Lesotho in Serowe the same day.
“Although this is a friendly we invite Batswana to come in large numbers as they always do with other matches. Tickets are already available at P50 for the grand stand and P30 elsewhere,” said Kemoeng.
He said that tickets were on sale in various outlets throughout the country such as Shoprite in Molepolole, Games City, Gaborone Station and Francistown , Maun , Airport Junction Checkers in Gaborone, House and Home at the Airport Junction, U-Save Stores in Kang, Kanye, Mochudi, OK Furnishers in Francistown, Palapye, Selibe Phikwe, Maun and Gantsi
He urged Batswana to buy tickets on time to avoid overcrowding at the stadium on last day of the game.
Kemoeng acknowledged the support of the Francistown authorities and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for always creating a conducive environment for Zebras to perform to their best.
Meanwhile the Zebras beat Lesotho 2-1 in friendly match played in Serowe on Saturday. The team is expected to play Uganda on June 4 in a final leg of AFCON qualifiers in Francistown before they proceed to Burkina Faso in September. ENDS
