Rollers confident of title

Township Rollers ladies coach Gaoletlhoo ‘Ronaldo’ Nkutlwisang says her team is on a mission to retain the Women’s Super League title.
Rollers will face arch-rivals Double Action in a game that will decide the destiny of the titletomorrow.
Rollers finished the league on top of the log standings with 59 points but have to meet second-placed Action in a playoff because they were catapulted to the summit by a total of six soft points. Action finished the season with 57 points.
The Gaborone West team was awarded soft points after Untouchable and FC Legends failed to honour matches against Nkutlwisang’s girls.
The last match between the two women’s league giants ended in goalless stalemate.
Nkutlwisang said even though some of her players are engaged in schools football tournaments, she aims to win the weekend showdown.
She said Rollers will also be without the services of their captain Tlamelo Rametlae and Amogelang Moagi due to injuries.
Nkutlwisang, who is also the ladies national team coach, stated that the mood is positive in Rollers’ camp, explaining that the girls are very much aware of what is at stake.
“During training all of them engage themselves without a word from me, something that would make any coach happy,” she said.
For his part Double Action boss Agreement Podi said his camp is excited about the tie, saying it is a motivation to play against Rollers since they are one team which always gives them tough competition.
