The dream of seeing Bobonong village football teams playing in the elite beMOBILE Premiership is back again.
The dream came again with Bobonong Stone Breakers that will be playing in the Eastern Block play offs to qualify for the First Division North after being crowned the Selibe phikwe region Second Division champions.
The chaiperson of Bobonong Stone Breakers, Nemme Mazebedi said in an interview that his team managed to be crowed the champions of Selibe Phikwe Second Division league after accumulating 51 points in a league of 12 teams.
Mazebedi said they will be playing for the play offs at Mahalapye on the 7th and 8 th of May where they will be facing the champions of Second Division regional teams from Tswapong, Serowe, and Mahalapye.
He said the play offs will be based on the point system and the winner will qualify to play in the Debswana First Division North.
Mazebedi said his team is determined to win the play offs and qualify to play in the Debswana First Division North.
He said their mission is to see their team playing in the beMOBILE Premiership and representing the Bobonong village for the first time in history.
Mazebedi said there is a lot of football talent in Bobonong and this was confirmed by another Bobonong team Peace Makers that was playing in the Debswana First Division North in 2013.
He said Peace Makers was relegated to the lower division after failing to pay the affiliation P200 fee at the Botswana Football Association while leading the Debswana First Division league and playing well.
Mazebedi said this decision favored Sankoyo Bush Bucks to be promoted to the then beMOBILE Premier League, a chance which must have happened to Peace Makers. ENDS
