Mahalapye Hotspurs and ECCO City Greens will battle it out for automatic promotion to the BeMobile Premier league on Saturday.

The two teams have separate dates in the Debswana First Division North that will decide the winner of the league and the automatic promotion berth.The games to decide the side that will automatically join First Division South champs Black Forest of Gabane in the elite league will all start at 330pm.

Amahot, as Hotspurs from Mahalapye are affectionately called, will face relegation-bound Palapye All Stars at the Serowe Sports Complex.Hotspurs go into the game two points ahead of Mamoja Diski, as ECCO are buoyantly called by their  ambitious followers. They have 41 points and the minimum result they need to make to the premier league is a draw.

ECCO, on the other hand, meet Kazungula Young Fighters at the old Francistown Stadium. The former top league campaigners have 39 points in the bag.Fans of the two teams will most definitely be on their mobile phones throughout the two fixtures to get blow by blow accounts.

The team which will fail to secure automatic promotion will be faced with the dreaded promotional play-offs, which is another lifeline for qualification to the premier league. ENDS
