Long queues and possible delays in examination registration will soon to be a thing of the past, as Orange Botswana, through its Orange Money service has introduced a payment solution for Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) and Junior Certificate Examination (JCE) private students.

A press release from Orange Botswana says private candidates for BGSCE and JCE examinations can pay examination fees through the Orange Money service.

This initiative, it says, is a result of a partnership with Botswana Examination Council (BEC), where private candidates register for examinations online and then pay through Orange Money.

Once online registration is done, payment can be made through the Orange Money short code *145# which is available 24/7 anywhere anytime. The registration period, as per the release, will run from April 4, 2016 to May 31, 2016.

The arrangement will provide great convenience as it will no longer be necessary for candidates to travel long distances to physically make payments for the examinations.

Due to its growing ecosystem, proximity and countrywide presence, through nearly 1000 point of sales countrywide, Orange Botswana Public Relations and Foundation Manager, Ms Boga Chilinde-Masebu says Orange Money continues to provide the much needed convenience to Batswana.

These point of sales are available through partnerships with retailers, such as; Choppies, Sefalana Cash and Carry, Botswana Post and others.

According to Ms Chilinde-Masebu, Orange Botswana is always looking for new and innovative ways to improve customer experience.

Over the years, she says the company had introduced various services and partnerships to the delight and convenience of their Orange Money customers.

The service had evolved from simple cash in and cash out service to encompass various services such as payment of DSTV, Prepaid Electricity, as well as payment of salaries, insurance premiums, and land board fees. ENDS
