Matambo attends IMF World Bank meetings

The Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Mr Kenneth Matambo is scheduled to attend the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Spring meetings in Washington DC, USA from April 15-17.
A news release from the ministry states that the meetings will discuss the global economic outlook, IMF and World Bank supported programmes as well as financial resources required to promote economic development in developing countries.
Mr Matambo will also attend the development committee and the International Monetary and Financial Committee meetings to discuss progress on the work of the bank and the fund and matters of common concern affecting the global economy.
Minister Matambo and the ministry’s senior government officials leave on April 13 and they are expected back on April 19. Ends
