05 Apr 2016

Jwaneng Galaxy FC sent FC Satmos to Debswana First Division League with a humiliating 6 nil defeat in the be MOBILE Premiership game at Selibe phikwe stadium on Saturday.

The hat-trick of Tebogo Sembowa and Thero Setsile confirmed the relegation of FC Satmos to the Debswana First Division.

Pressure on FC Satmos players to win this game to remain in the fight to survive the relegation was evident.

The absence of their key players who could have fought with everything to save the team had a hugecontribution to their loss.

Jwaneng Galaxy started the game on a high note looking to capitalise on the pressure felt by FC Satmos players.

Sembowa, Setsile and Olebogeng Malebye started the game by terrorising Satmos defence.

Sembowa scored Galaxy’s first goal on the 33rd minute after receiving a deadly cross from Tshepho Borake.

Galaxy strikers continued to terrorise Satmos defence, which performed below par throughout the game.

Sembowa gave Satmos keeper Modiakgotla Modiakgotla a torrid time with long range powerful shots.

Tebogo Sosome played very well in the middle, distributing beautiful passes that enabled his team to have a good day.

The match went to half time with Galaxy leading 1 nil. Jwaneng Galaxy started the second half like a house on fire, attacking Satmos from all angles with Setsile’s long range shots and deadly runs. Sembowa scored Galaxy’s second goal on the 71st minute after Satmos defence made a mistake inside the penalty box.

Galaxy kept on pilling pressure on Satmos defence until Setsile scored Galaxy’s third goal on the 81st minute after receiving a cross from Borake.

After the third goal, frustration got the better of Satmos players. The game became a one sided affair with Galaxy dictating terms.

Setsile scored his second goal of the day on 86th minute.

Galaxy captain Malebye was substituted for Atisang Batsi, who put on an outstanding performance during the match.

Gilbert Baruti and Borake were substituted for Pako Gaofose and Onkgolotse Motlhabankwe respectively.

Setsile scored Galaxy’s fifth goal on the  87th minute after receiving a cross from Sembowa.

Sembowa scored Galaxy’s sixth goal two minutes later.

Satmos assistant coach Goabaone Batlhalefi said in a post-match interview that his team lost because his key players were out on injury.

“We are now going to focus on playing our last games in the be MOBILE Premiership. After that we will prepare to play in the First Division,” he said.

He said that he is confident that his team will not lose any player, and they will fight hard to come back to play in be MOBILE Premiership again.

Galaxy FC coach Philane Mabhena said his players managed to play according to his instructions and exploited the pressure that Satmos players played under.

He said his players managed to achieve their target of staying in the league by beating Gilport Lions in their last match. Their target is to finish the league in a respectable position. Ends
