Management plans afoot for halls

Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture Mr Thapelo Olopeng says his ministry is in discussions with the ministry of Local Government and Rural Development regarding the takeover of the management and use of community halls for youth recreation.
Answering a question in Parliament, Mr Olopeng said it was important to note that before these facilities could be furnished, they will have to be renovated as most of them are not in a good state including Gweta hall.
He indicated that the Gweta community hall would be considered alongside other facilities, funds permitting.
The Member of Parliament for Nata-Gweta Mr Polson Majaga had asked the minister when his ministry will furnish Gweta hall with equipment for youth recreation facilities as promised by the President.
