Parliament has been informed that there is a Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture satellite office operating in Sowa Township with two programme officers who are serving the Nata/Gweta constituency. 

Answering a question in Parliament, minister Thapelo Olopeng said, in addition, his ministry has an office at the Nata Service centre and an officer will be appointed before the end of the first quarter of the 2016/17 financial year.

Such interventions, he said, were meant to bring services closer to the community and thus address the challenge of distance to Tutume.

Minister Olopeng however said due to capacity constraints, his ministry was unable to offer a full range of services at Nata or Sowa Town. 

MP for Nata/Gweta Mr Polson Majaga had asked the minister of MYSC if he would consider setting up offices in Sowa Town or Nata village with all services to help the youth of Nata/Gweta constituency who have to travel to Tutume for services. ENDS
