Btv Radio Botswana employ freelance newsreaders

Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele says Botswana Television (Btv) and Radio Botswana have five news readers who are not on full-time employment by the Department of Broadcasting Services (DBS), and that five are freelancers.
Mr Makgalemele said one of the five freelancers at Btv was a public officer employed by the Educational Broadcasting Unit of the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, whereas the other four freelancers were not employed anywhere.
The Member of Parliament for Selebi Phikwe West, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse had asked the minister to state Btv and Radio Botswana news readers who were not on full-time employment of DBS and that of freelancers.
He also asked about those in the private sector or elsewhere and those that were unemployed. Ends
