Rollers maintain log leadership

Township Rollers kept their dream of lifing the beMobile Premiership trophy when they beat Extension Gunners 2-0 in Lobatse on Saturday.
Edwin Moalosi and Lawrence Majawa’s second half goals ensured Mapalastina’s hard fought victory.
Though Gunners had the first goal attempt in the first half, they did not come to party.
On one hand Kabelo Dambe made several saves that denied Mapantsula any chance to score.
The likes of Topo Piet, Keaketswe ‘Mara’ Moloi and Jomo Moatlhaping failed to appease the Peleng giants’ supporters.
The experienced of Mogogi Gabonamong made Rollers defence tough to penetrate.
Gunners coach, Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare brought in Thabiso Mabachi and Chakalisa Lehuma in the second half, but still the team could not break Rollers.
Three minutes into his substitution, Edwin Moalosi scored the first goal from a Tshepo ‘Talk Talk’ Motlhabankwe corner.
Lawrence Majawa scored the second goal few minutes after the first one..
In an interview after the game, Nare said he was disappointed they conceded two goals, despite the team being balanced.
Nare said his boys did not follow the basic rules of defending and that cost them the game.
He said though his team did not score, they played well, adding that his team was compact as Rollers could not score from open play but only scored from set pieces.
He said he was confident that his team would face the remaining five games with a fighting spirit to ensure that they pocket all the points.
Harrison on one hand said wide players and strikers were first isolated and could not connect well in the first half, but nonetheless corrected the plan in the second half.
He said he was concentrating on each game as it comes, ensuring a win of each game, not putting pressure on players. Ends
