Can Nare stop Harrison

17 Mar 2016

The beMOBILE Premiership returns to action this weekend with most games fixtured for Saturday (March 19).

Molepolole Sports Complex would host two epic battles.  Gaborone United would take on BDF XI at 4pm before Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Police XI encounter at 8pm.

However, the game of the weekend would be at the National Stadium where Extension Gunners would log horns with Township Rollers.

Log leaders, Rollers must be feeling immense pressure because Chiefs and Orapa United are breathing heavily on their neck.

Two points separate them, therefore any slip might lead Rollers into troubled waters. They might find themslves in position three if they lose to Gunners, who are in position nine.

Mark Harrison and his charges would have to be at their best to ensure maximum points against  Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare’s Mapantsula.  The game starts at 7pm.

On one hand Gaborone United would be looking to close the gap between them and their visitors, BDF XI.

However, GU would be looking to borrow from their top class performance against Rollers two weekends ago.

Against Matebele however, GU would meet a team still nursing a pain of being knocked out of the Mascom Top 8 and looking to return to their winning ways.

When Chiefs take on Police XI, they would be hoping to topple Rollers from the top and the fact that they start their game an hour later than Rollers might give them an advantage of keeping an ear to the developments at the National Stadium.

Police XI, on the other hand, seem might be looking at cementing their place in the top eight. Another interesting game would be at Itekeng Stadium where Orapa United welcome struggling Motlakase Power Dynamos at 7 pm. Just like Chiefs, the Ostriches would go into the game aware that a win will give them a provisional leadership of the log at least until Saturday.  The Ostriches are likely to have it easy against the Palapye outfit, who are currently lying in the relegation zone.

However, Motlakase will also go into the game looking to boost their chances of survival by closing the gap between them and Green Lovers. Only four points separate the two.

The weekend activities will see two derbies in the north where Miscellaneous welcome Green Lovers at 3:30pm in Serowe while Nico United would welcome FC Satmos at 4pm.

Miscellaneous would be looking to use their homeboys to cement their position in the top eight

In other games, BR Highlanders welcome Sankoyo Bush Bucks in Serowe on Friday at 8pm while Galaxy FC welcome Gilport Lions in Jwaneng at 3:30 pm.
