Kanye Swallows added on to the woes of FC Legends by thrashing the latter 6-0 during women super league second round match in Kanye on Saturday.

Perhaps it was Kanye Swallows way of venting out frustration following Untouchable refusal to accept the former’s choice of referee a week ago. The showdown ended with no match at all. 

Kanye Swallows made their intentions clear from the outset and in the process sunk the seemingly young side further down the women log. 

Legend FC was reeling from a 4-0 drubbing they suffered at the hands of Makofe FC. Kanye Swallows made their presence felt in the fourth minute following a quick counter.

The robust Sekgele Odiseng who displayed composure on the ball lobbed the ball over Legends FC shot stopper from outside the box to give her team the lead.

The goal spurred on Kanye Swallows who piled pressure on opponents.

Just on the 20th minute, Swallows FC skipper, Maitshoko Ramantele capitalized on Legends FC sloppy defence and struck powerfully to give her team a convincing 2-0 lead.

Meanwhile, Legend FC were at sixes and sevens and had their game plan jumbled up, lacked focus and easily lost possession. Swallows girls made the most out of their opponents mistakes.

On the 36th minute, the enterprising Sekgele Odiseng who ably controlled the middle field scored her second and third goal for her team respectively. 

Kanye Swallows continued to pile pressure on Legends FC and Sekgele got her hatrick on the 40th minute from an indirect kick to ensure her team goes to recess leading by four goals to naught.

During second half, FC Legends showed traits of a rejuvenated side and managed to string together a number of passes and luck was not on their side on the 66th minute not to have converted from a set piece just outside the box.

Luck was just not on FC Legends side and perhaps an avalanche of goals already scored had taken a toll on them.  Kanye Swallows pounced on them once again and scored two successive goals to end the encounter 6-0.

FC Legends Coach, Mr Victor Tsambane conceded lack of composure cost his team dearly. 

He said however that his team has a bright future considering it is composed primarily of girls under 17.

“We are not so much about wining but are also building for the future,” he said.

For his part, Kanye Swallows Coach, Mr Kgomotso Teofhelo was happy that finally his players were heeding to instructions; something he said could be a sign of better and greater things going forward. Ends
