He said crowned best couples from various ministries would on June 13 vie for the title of Mr and Miss Public Service 2013.
Mr Tlhalerwa said inclusion of the beauty pageant in the Public Service Day celebrations was a recommendation from the 2012 celebrations and it was aimed at attracting the young and elderly people to the event.
Other activities would include a talent show, where officers would showcase their talents and creativity, as well as being appreciated and acknowledged, said Mr Tlhalerwa.
“This will go a long way in grooming talent and promoting performing arts among public officers,” he said. The pageant guidelines stated that competitors should be employees in the public service, who espoused qualities of a good public service employee and were good role models in general conduct.
