Hospitals security satisfactory

Assistant Minister of Health Dr Alfred Madigele has informed Parliament that the state of security in government hospital is satisfactory.
Dr Madigele was answering a question in Parliament from the Member of Parliament for Francistown East, Mr Billy Buti .
He said his ministry has outsourced security services in hospitals to private companies.
Dr Madigele also said the ministry continues to reinforce through access control in strategic areas like pharmacies, laboratories, supplies, maternity and paediatric wards as well as corridors of clinics and outpatient areas.
Furthermore, he said it was mandatory for all staff to put on identity cards or badges while on duty.
The Francistown East legislator had asked the minister to update Parliament on the state of security in Botswana hospitals. ENDS
