Miscellaneous complete double over Police XI

Miscellaneous overcame their internal differences to complete a season’s brace over Police XI in Molepolole on Saturday.
Having beaten the Jungle Kings 1-0 in the first round, Tse Nala ensured maximum points from the Cops this season when they defeated them 2-1, a feat that led to Police XI coach, Maxwell Moyo admitting that the opponent was one of the toughest for his team this season.
“I cannot necessarily say they are one of the toughest teams to face in the premiership, but for us they have been a tough nut to crack this season because they have collected all the six points from us.
We can now only wait for next season for revenge,” he said.
Moyo did not fault his players for the loss, only paying credit to his opponents for doing all the necessary work for a deserved win.
“We tried to push forward but Miscellaneous were more organized than us and we could not penetrate them, so for our loss, I can only say credit to them,” he said.
For his part, Miscellaneous coach, Russia Chaba was happy for the three points, especially looking at the poor vein of form his team has been through of late.
“Throughout the league we have been there with the big boys, but then all of a sudden we started losing game after game, which led to our dramatic fall down the log standings,” he said.
Chaba said it is normal in football for a team to drop down the log standings but what he said worried him was the rapidness of their down fall.
Chaba placed the sudden fall on recent challenges they experienced at the team, especially on the financial part which led to some players failing to turn up for training. Ends
