Multimillion Pula shopping complex for Bobonong

02 Mar 2016

The land scape of Bobonong is headed for a facelift owing to the coming shopping complex.

Joe’s Electrical Contractors (PTY) LTD is constructing a P10 million shopping complex in the village.

The premises are wholly owned by a citizen Mr Joseph Peloetletse who is also managing director of Joe’s Electrical (PTY) LTD.

The company site manager Mr Taurai Jenami said in an interview that the construction of the multimillion shopping complex started in May last year and is expected to be completed by December this year.

Mr Jenami said the shopping complex is a breakthrough and a sign of true reflection of developments in the village.

“This shopping complex will also create employment to the residents of Bobonong and the surrounding areas who will be employed by the shops that are coming to open here,” he said.

He said the shopping complex house  well known businesses such as First National Bank, Shoppers Supermarket , KFC restaurant,  and Puma Filling Station.

“Most of the apartments in our shopping complex are already booked and we have only a few left ,” said Mr Jenami.

Mr Jenami said the bookings of apartments are still coming in especially from the Chinese shops, boutiques, saloons and bottle stores.

He said the construction of the shopping complex is slow as they are using their own funds and it was going to be fast if they could have been funded externally.

“Some of the other things making our construction to go slow is workers who quit employment without serving notice going for greener pastures, and it shows that people do not want to work in the village rather they prefer working in towns,” he said. Ends
