Black rangers coach still optimistic

Tsabong Black Rangers head coach Onalenna Osenne has admitted that his team is facing a difficult task trying to avoid relegation from the Debswana First Division south league.
However, with his team rooted at the bottom of the log with only seven points from 15 matches, the youthful gaffer has remained confident that they will survive relegation at the end of the season.
In an interview with BOPA on Tuesday, Osenne stated that though his team has been going through a rough patch, other teams like Modipane United and Lesirane City are also dropping crucial points, which gives Rangers a chance to stage a late escape.
He however, stated that he will not rely on his competitors losing matches. “This is our fight and we need to win it ourselves. We have to win the remaining matches so that we can stay in contention. I don’t have a problem with our playing style because it has been improving. It is only that we need to be clinical in front of goals,” he said.
The troubled Tsabong side will be welcoming fellow strugglers Lesirane City in Tsabong for a six-pointer match this coming Saturday. The first round clash between the two teams ended in a stalemate.
Osenne said they are aiming for their second victory of the season on Saturday. He said his boys are psychologically prepared for the match.
Despite leaking in many goals at the back Osenne said he will not abandon his attacking philosophy this weekend. He said Lesirane play possession football, so he will instruct his charges to pile pressure and force their opponents to make mistakes in their own (Lesirane) half.
Rangers’ fans will be expecting their team to tame Lesirane after holding the in-form Sharps Electrical to a draw last weekend.
Other First Division south Saturday matches, Letlapeng will welcome Mochudi Rovers in Ramotswa, Modipane United meets second placed Black Forest in Modipane, while Notwane takes on Sharps at Fighters Ground. Mogoditshane Fighters face Prisons XI in Mogoditshane on Sunday. Ends
