Township Rollers maintained their beMOBILE Premiership league log leadership when they thrashed FC Satmos 5-0 in Francistown on Saturday (February 27).
Rollers remained at the top of the table with 54 points followed by Mochudi Centre Chiefs.
With only eight matches left for the 2015/16 season to end, Satmos on one hand find themselves having conceded 56 goals.
They have never won a match but registered six draws and scored 14 goals.
That left them in a relegation battle alongside BR Highlanders.
Meanwhile, in their first leg clash, Rollers had whipped Satmos 9-1 but Satmos did not go down without a fight.
That did not also guarantee the Rollers side to win with such a huge margin again on Saturday.
Rollers started the game on high pace outplaying Satmos. With just 20 minutes into the game, they were denied a goal on account of an offside. However, that did not squash their morale.
Galabgwe Moyana had gone rampage on Satmos with brilliant crosses into the box but did not find fellow teammates in good position.
The likes of Joel Mogorosi and Moyana tormented the Satmos defence.
On the other hand, Segolame Boy who had just recovered from an injury had brilliant moments as he scored a hat-trick for his side.
Boy, who was well position in the 18th area received exceptional supply from Moyana, effortlessly put it past Satmos goalkeeper to open the score line.
Less than 10 minutes after the first goal, Mogorosi executed a pass to a well-positioned Moyana and the latter passed the ball to Boy who smashed it into the goal post thus making it 2-0 just before half time.
Satmos’ struggles to create opportunities were not successful as Rollers defence remained rock solid.
About 10 minutes before half time, Satmos were awarded a free kick outside the 18th area which found Noah Maposa well positioned to foil.
The second half was no different as Satmos struggled even more. Mogorosi missed a one on one opportunity to further the lead.
The 72nd minute marked Boy’s hat-trick of the game that swiftly passed the defence and made it through the goal line.
Rollers further introduced Sekhana Koko who flipped the game to greater chances being created mid-park.
Despite being outplayed Satmos did not give up creating chances as they missed a golden chance to register one on the score sheet.
Terence Mandaza was introduced and he also found the back the net to make it 4-0 for Rollers.
A fifth goal was later netted by Boy who skilfully dribbled the Satmos defence to seal victory for Rollers. Ends
