For the turnkey development scheme, the minister said 130 applications were received between 2008/09 and 2015/16, adding that all of which were funded and houses delivered from the scheme. He said there were no outstanding requests for Gaborone under the scheme.
He added that for home improvement, 26 applications were received on average annually while 16 were received for the turnkey development scheme. “The scheme satisfies the needs of the beneficiaries in the sense that all projects for the past eight years have been delivered,” said Mr Maele.
Gaborone North MP, Mr Haskins Nkaigwa had asked the minister how many people benefited from the SHHA loan on average annually in Gaborone and how many applications were received on average annually. He also wanted to know whether the scheme satisfied the needs of beneficiaries. ENDS
