Rollers women on song

Township Rollers started the second round of the Women’s Super League in top gear by clobbering Big Sisters 4-0 at Mma-Masire Grounds on Saturday (February 20).
In the last game of the first round last weekend, Popa ladies had a field day against the same team when they humiliated them 12-0. This time they can take pride in the fact that they managed to reduce the deficit.
During the game, it was clear that Popa ladies were in a mission to continue their dominance over Biggie as they started the game at a high pace. And it did not come as a surprise when in the 11th minute, Bame Ngenda netted the first goal after the Biggie defence was caught napping.
The goal caused a lot of confusion in the Biggie defence, as they did not anticipate an early goal from their opponents.
However, Popa ladies took advantage of their confused opponents, and they continued to cause havoc and dictate terms. In the 39th minute Ngenda received a good cross from Maatla Tlhobogang and took her time, picked a spot and sent it straight to the back of the net to make it 2-0.
Biggie players amongst them Wampona Kaisara, Ketty Radiposo and Tidimalo Phologolo tried hard to get their team back in the game, but Popa ladies did not allow them to come close to their keeper who was on holiday on the day.
Some seconds before half-time, a Rollers striker took the Biggie defence and dribbled past them until she was one on one with Marylin John who did nothing as she watched the ball rolling into the net.
The game went into recess with Rollers leading 3-0, and after the break, one would have thought that Biggie would come with a different game plan, but they continued with their initial game plan which did not work for them.
In the 67th minute, Rollers ladies orchestrated an attack which was started by Ngenda who passed to Kesegofetse Mochawe and it was finished by Refilwe Tholakelo to make it 4-0.
The only shot on target by Biggie was in the 80th minute through Radiposo and her attempt was thwarted by Rollers keeper Sedilame Bosija and the game ended 4-0. Ends
