The Ministry of Transport and Communications has outsourced the maintenance of the Shorobe-Mababe road which was last graded on February 11 this year.

“The road is being graded twice every month,” said the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Tshenolo Mabeo. He said  his ministry was aware that tarred roads contributed to the development of tourism and other economic activities, but that the Shorobe-Mababe road was not included in the current development plan (NDP 10).

He added that the road would be proposed for tarring in future plans alongside other priority projects. Maun East MP, Mr Kostantinos Markus had wanted to know if the minister was aware that tarred roads contributed to the development of tourism and other economic activities, and if so, the minister was to state when would the road from Shorobe to Mababe be tarred. Ends
