Production company sticks to local content
03 Jan 2013
A local music production company is planning to organise shows that will feature local artists throughout the year.
Sydney Nzala, alias DJ Boogie SID of Black Box Production said in an interview that he has realised that local artists are also able to attract large crowds.
“I am not going to follow the trend of bringing international artists but will keep it as local as possible for Batswana to love and enjoy the music of their own artists,” DJ Boogie SID said.
On the annual Goledzwa festival, he said the event was a success given that they sold tickets in advance.
The festival line-up comprised the likes of Eugene Jackson, who is popular for his love songs such as O wame, as well as Makau and Francistown based disc jockeys.
The New Year’s Eve line-up included VEE, A.T.I and Scar whom he said had to dig into his pockets to have them perform on the night. ENDS
