WUC starts household visits

Following the rapid reduction of water in dams around the country, the Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) will be starting house to house visits to monitor compliance to water restrictions which came into effect in November 2012.
A press release from the corporation states that WUC employees who will be carrying WUC identification cards and letters of identification, will make door to door inspections in residential areas and businesses without prior notice.
“Penalties in the form of charges, disconnection of water supply or both will be taken against non-compliant consumers,” the release states. ENDS
