Minister clarifies Mmankgodi dam status

Minister of Agriculture, Mr Patrick Ralotsia, says Mmankgodi dam was constructed during the 1997 and 1998 financial year and was officially opened in 1999.
Answering a question in parliament on Tuesday, he said the dam was constructed by the Kweneng District Council who were better placed to elaborate why it had not benefitted Mmankgodi ever since its completion as well as plans in place to ensure such benefit.
He said in that regard the question had been redirected to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development. The minister was responding to a question from Gabane-Mmankgodi MP, Maj. Gen. Pius Mokgware. Ends
