Sistahud Modelling Agency will be launched at Somarela Tikologo today.

The launch will start at 6pm and Mosako and Dj Fondo Fi will entertain guests.

A news release from the agency states that lack of modelling coordination in the country had prompted formation of an institution that would fill such a vacuum which has hampered its development and growth in the country.

The release also states that Sistahud Modelling Agency was registered in 2008 to focus primarily on grouping all talented female models into one house and build developmental interactions which will then lead to profitable commercialisation of modelling in Botswana.

Also, it states that the agency however believed that everyone should use their talents to earn a living, hence their aim to ensure that all models in Botswana do so. 

The release also says the agency creates models, builds their confidence that they often lacked and mentors them on life skills.

Further, it says the agency has successfully hosted projects including, among others, Miss Gabane West 2009, Miss Morwa 2012 and Miss Oodi 2012.

The agency also has a community project dubbed ‘Shoe Collection Initiative’ which aims to collect a minimum of ten pairs of shoes in a month, to benefit orphans and children from poor families. ENDS
