Goal keeper Moilwa retraces steps

16 Feb 2016

Sankoyo Bush Bucks number one goal keeper, Basimanebotlhe Moilwa is back after negotiations between Ngurungu and Extension Gunners Football Club fell out.

Moilwa was one of the club’s players who failed to return from the festive season while a few turned up in protest over unpaid salaries. The team manager, Lere Ramoeta confirmed in an interview with BOPA that Moilwa has returned home and started training last week.

He said initially Extension Gunners showed interest in signing the player but failed because of some reasons known to them.

He said his team lost many key players who sought greener pastures elsewhere but indicated that the returning of Moilwa is a blessing to the team that has been lacking experience at the back.

Ramoeta said the experienced goal keeper would add value to the team as he would help to lead and guide defenders.

He said of late his boys had been performing badly citing their recent encounter with BDF XI where they were beaten 3-1 by their rivals as two of BDF XI’s goals were own goals by Ngurungu.

The team manager revealed that they had never experienced such a bad situation where his boys conceded two own goals.
Ramoeta assured supporters that currently they are working on their mistakes and believed moving forward, the boys would improve their performance.

Sankoyo coach, Tiiso Gadimang shared the sentiments noting that the coming back of Moilwa would make a big difference in the defence department.

He said the player has a lot of experience and hoped he would motivate other players to gain confidence.

He attributed lack of experience especially in the defence department as the major contribution to their losses adding in most cases his defenders panicked and made silly mistakes.

Gadimang is optimistic that despite losing key players, the boys would improve their performance in the remaining matches and survive relegation. Ends
