12 Feb 2016
Miscellaneous has vowed to end Orapa United's long unbeaten run when the two teams clash in the beMOBILE Premiership at Serowe Sports Complex tonight.
Sixth-placed Miscellaneous go into the match on the back of two successive defeats against Gaborone United and Extension Gunners, while United is enjoying a 19 match unbeaten streak.
Madinda Ndlovu's men visit Serowe Sports Complex in a solid form, having last tasted defeat in August, when they fell to a 2-0 loss to BDF XI in their second match of the season.
This great form has propelled the Ostriches into genuine title contenders and they currently trail log leaders Township Rollers by two points.
But the Serowe men are unfazed by the prospect of confronting their on-form opponent.
Miscellaneous public relations officer Sefhako Sefhako says the team is determined to secure victory from the clash.
“We respect them because they are a strong team. But we are determined to beat them because we want to start winning again. The technical team has talked to the players and we have put our losses to Gaborone United and Extension Gunners behind us,” Sefhako stated during an interview on yesterday (Thursday).
Orapa United edged the first round encounter between the two sides 1-0 with Thabang Sesinyi on target at Itekeng Stadium in September.
Sefhako said Tse Nala has prepared well this time around and the technical committee has studied United's play.
The Miscellaneous mouthpiece said that the team was still maintaining its ambition finishing the season in the top eight despite pressure from Jwaneng Galaxy, Gaborone United and Extension Gunners.
In Saturday afternoon matches, relegation threatened Motlakase Power Dynamos welcomes struggling Nico United at Serowe Sports Complex, while inconsistent Gaborone United visit Police XI at Molepolole Sports Complex at 4pm. Sankoyo Bush Bucks takes on BDF XI at Maun Sports Complex at 5pm, while bottom of the table FC Satmos visits struggling Green Lovers at Serowe Sports Complex at 8pm.
