Ministry does not condone partisan politics
11 Feb 2016
The Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Moiseraele Goya says he is not aware of any reported cases of teachers teaching partisan politics during their classes. Answering a question in Parliament on Wednesday, Mr Goya said it would be unfortunate if some teachers lacked the professionalism to deliver the curriculum as they had been directed.
He, however, said the ministry did not in any way condone such behaviour. The MP for Francistown West, Mr Ignatius Moswaane had asked the assistant minister if he was aware that some teachers in primary and secondary schools were teaching partisan politics during their classes. He also wanted to know what the minister was doing to remedy the situation. Ends
