Air Botswana has developed a five year business plan aimed at turning around the airline, Minister of Transport and Communication, Mr Tshenolo Mabeo has said.

Answering a question in Parliament on Wednesday from the MP for Francistown East, Mr Buti Billy, the minister said the plan covers organisational restructuring, improved IT system and re-fleeting.

Mr Mabeo said the strategy had been presented to Cabinet and was being reviewed with other national priorities.

“Successful implementation of the business plan is therefore dependent on Cabinet approving the funding aspect of the plan,” he said. MP Billy had asked the minister if he was aware that Air Botswana had long submitted its strategy for approval by Cabinet and how far the process  had gone and whether Air Botswana was likely to re-fleet anytime soon. Ends
