The amount spent on fuel for aircrafts used by his Excellency the President and the Vice President during the Goodhope/Mabule bye-elections is P26 904.90.

The Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele told Parliament that there was no government fuel that was used by the Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration during his campaign for Goodhope/Mabule constituency as ministers used their private vehicles during political campaigns.

Mr Makgalemele noted that ministers addressed 11 kgotla meetings at the Goodhope/Mabule constituency between July and August 2015. “There were no kgotla meetings that were addressed by ministers at the Goodhope/Mabule constituency between July and August 2014,” he said.

The assistant minister was responding to a question from the Member of Parliament for Francistown South, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi who wanted the minister to state the amount spent by the Pesident and Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration during Goodhope/Mabule.

MP Mmolotsi also asked the assistant minister to state the number of Kgotla meetings that were addressed by the ministers between July and August for the Goodhope/Mabule constituency in 2014 and 2015. Ends
