Renovations of science laboratories at Ghanzi Senior Secondary School are complete and were handed over to the school on October 14, 2015.

Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Fidelis Molao said the project was not delivered on time due to setbacks and challenges.

Amongst the challenges, he said, was difficulty in sourcing materials specific to the project.

Mr Molao said mechanical and electrical sub contractors were appointed late after the main contractor was commissioned.

The main contractor was forced to suspend works while waiting for the sub contractors, hence the delay, he added.

Ghanzi North MP, Mr Noah Salakae had asked the minister whether renovations of science laboratories at Ghanzi Senior Secondary School were complete and what led to the delay despite the assurances from the minister. Ends
