DCEC investigations ongoing at SEDC

Investigations on the fire engine repair case and paying for undelivered services by some senior staff of South East District Council (SEDC) are ongoing at the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC). The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso said this when responding to a question in Parliament from Ramotswa MP, Mr Samuel Rantuana.
To avoid jeopardising the investigations, Ms Tshireletso said “the details of the same cannot be disclosed until conclusion of the same.” Mr Rantuana had asked Ms Tshireletso to update the house on the cases reported to DCEC by SEDC; fire engine repair case and paying for undelivered services by some staff of SEDC.
